Post XMAS aka. Boxing Day

Christmas came and go, and
yeah...for me it kinda came as though its just another day..
The few days before christmas, i was looking forward to it, anticipating and it may bring, but heck, Christmas has been quite a gloomy day, caused by the downpour and the gloomy weather in KL. This is what i did......
was out for the night on Christmas eve and came home kinda late, took advantage of the day off and slept till noon, half day gone. Woke up, cleaned up my room and i did not imagine how dirty my room was...rofl. Thats done, hit the gym for some short work out to work off some of the stuff i ate the night before....haha. Came back polished and vacuumed my car. My car looked clean for once and it just had to rain...done that had dinner with my family. Thats my Christmas.

Track back in time, on the 21st. i went to my friend's church for some little barbeque gathering, pre-xmas. Food as ok, regular barbeque food, chicken wings, corn, potatoes and lamb...which i did not have as i was late. this whole thing started at 530, i was there at 730. Heck there were others who came later than me. Some sharing and games followed after. Was suppose to go for extra makan after as some of us were still feeling hungry but we some how ended up at some cyber cafe for a game of DOTA. time was 12 midnight then and i had to work at 6am the next day. Its been awhile since i've played it and i am not very sure what to do in game..haha

Today is boxing day and i have a day off. Resting at home, doing nothing sure beats facing irritating customers anytime. Its already 11am as im typing this and i still do not know what to do today. Guess i'll just disturb whoever that is working today....haha

On a side note....talk about racism...
This is parody of the series Survivor sent to my by Earl..

Work issue settled

As of today, i have already resigned of my post in my current company and am just continuing work to serve my bond there...2 months...
Frigging long and yea..
having resigned...i am currently looking for a new job...haha

Any recommendations or anyone wanna hire me?..haha...
now thats getting desperate.. i'm not at the desperate level just yet, but i am now looking for another job hopefully being able to start in March next year...after CNY that is. However wont be really celebrating CNY due to the unfortunate event that happened last year...sigh. :(

Now thats aside,
having making a slight income lately, i've been looking to ' revive' my aquarium and attempt to start over, petting ornamental fish, creating a landscape to 'house' them. Its been about a month and i would say, so far so good..
here are some images of it..

Rummy nose tetra and glowlight tetra school

one of my angelfish....

The two Discus that i got about 2 weeks go...

and a close up to one of them...

When the discus first arrive, they kept hiding and will not eat, which is worrying. Now they would even nibble the food of my hand as i feed them. :)

On another note....my mug

don't those 2 words just describes 'life'?

No more free downloads?

Well, its been awhile since it was announced and all, but i just happen to came across this recently. So basically what it will mean is..

picture from lowyat.net

Apparently the Trade and Consumer's Affair Ministry are looking to impose a limit or maybe none what so ever to any Malaysians who download 'stuff' of the internet. A whopping fine of RM250k to RM 500k will be imposed to whoever who are caught doing so.

One may ask, do we even get fined if we download open source applications ( free stuff) off download applications such as bit torrents. Its absolutely absurd to literally track down every single downloader in the counrty.

Heck, as we all may know, softwares are not cheap to come by, costing at least RM100 for each application. Lets say a student needing several software to complete a certain assignment or pursue their studies, what option do they have but to get the software off downloads or even from a pirate source. Its not that their university or college will willingly supply all their students with the required software. Use the campus computer labs u say? Each campus may have, let say 200 computers at their labs, are they looking to cater over 500 students with the mere 200 computers. And , as a student myself previously, who starts works until about 10pm at night... will the computer labs still be opened? Cyber cafe's? will the computer's there have the software we require for our work? 99.9% does not even have MS Word.

An average Malaysian earns about rm30k p.a., how does the government expect them to pay the enormous fine this is imposing. Downloaders are more for private use and all; the government should actually looking in impose heftier fines to offenders such as rapist or robbers, even some public service personnel who are taking bribes; protecting the safety of the public. Downloaders will not go , " Damn i cant download this, i must kill someone". :)

As most downloaders may realize, the stuff that you download are actually shared from another source in the world. So by banning download, they are also in way banning sharing. Agree? They bought the stuff, they find it nice and look to share something good to everyone else around the world, we happen to came across it, curious and since they are sharing it, why not?

What they should be looking to do is actually crack down pirate VCD and DVD peddlers and as we can see its not really successful over the years. Trying to ban downloads? Its more like a dream. What if we actually payed for the software and download them, will we still get fined? lol

p/s will we still get fined if we download trial programs, which are meant to be free?

Champion's League

The group stages are done and we now have 16 teams left in contention for the biggest prize in club football in Europe, if not the world; given its prestige.

Lots of unexpected stuff happened and as most will expect; the favorites made it through with much trouble.

So here are the group winners; arranged from group A -H.
We have

in order we have FC Porto (Portugal), Chelsea Fc ( England), Real Madrid ( Spain), AC Milan ( Italy), FC Barcelona (Spain), Manchester United ( England), Internazionale (Italy), Fc Sevilla (Spain)

and the group runner ups, we have

in order we have Liverpool FC ( England), Schalke04 ( Germany), Olympiakos ( Greece), Celtic FC ( Scotland), Lyon ( France), AS Roma ( Italy), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Arsenal FC ( England)

draws for the last 16 will pit group winners against group runner ups. however teams from the same countries will not meet in this stage of the tournament; as well as groups that advance from the same group. So the possibility of a Thierry Henry return to the Emirates is high, even a rematch of the previous final between Milan and Liverpool.
Those are some possibilities of the big matches we can expect from the UCL unless the draw suggest otherwise. All we need to do is wait for the draw which i think will be tomorrow.

And these are some of the teams that eveyone would expect to go through but disappoints.

Valencia (Spain), SS Lazio ( Italy) and VFB Stuttgart ( Germany)

thou, its a shame that the likes of Juventus and Bayern Munich are not participating in the competition this year..

Gundam 00

I've been looking for some good anime to watch lately...and happen to stumble upon this as i was at some anime blog.

Previously i was looking to watch

Eyeshield 21. Its some animation about american football. Quite interesting actually. But i read the mangas and the anime is lagging by quite a lot. i slowly find it kinda boring, the anime not the manga. So i kinda stopped watching this and just continue reading the comics..

Then came along

Mobile suit Gundam 00

The plot from wikipedia.org :

"The series is set in the year 2307 AD of the Gregorian calendar. During this time, fossil fuels became exhausted and the distribution of fuels became imbalanced. Humanity must rely on an array of solar power generation systems orbiting the Earth, and supported by three orbital elevators, each one pertaining to one of the three "major powers" on the planet.

The Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations (世界経済連合 sekaikeizairengō?, abbrev. ユニオン Union, lit. World Economic Union), composed of the Organization of American States, Australasia and Japan, control the elevator located in South America. The Human Reform League (人類革新連盟 Jinrui Kakushin Renmei?, abbrev. 人革連 Jinkakuren, lit. Human Reform Alliance), composed of the formerly socialist mainland China, Siberian Russia, the nations of South Asia (excluding the middle-Asian states of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan), Mongolia, the member states of the ASEAN, Papua New Guinea, the Korean Peninsula, and Taiwan, control the elevator located in the Pacific Ocean. The Advanced European Union (AEU), composed of Iceland, the islands of the Barents Sea, Greenland, Anatolia and the entirety of the traditional continent of Europe, control an elevator built in the middle of the African continent.

With this infinite source of energy benefiting only the major powers and their allies, constant warfare around the globe for fuels and energy lead to the formation of a private military organization, called Celestial Being (ソレスタルビーイング Soresutaru Biiingu?), dedicated to eradicating war with the use of four humanoid machines called Gundams.[1][3]

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 follows four mobile suit pilots termed Gundam Meisters ( ガンダムマイスター Gandamu Maisutā?), sided with Celestial Being. The protagonist is 16-year old Setsuna F. Seiei (刹那・F・セイエイ?), a quiet, taciturn young man who grew up in the Kurdish Republic, and a Gundam Meister for two years. He pilots the GN-001 Gundam Exia, a high mobility mobile suit effective in melee combat.[6][7] "

One of the many gundam series and it lives up to it..so far....heck theres only 10 episodes so far.
My personal opinion is that this series has quite an interesting storyline, so far at least.

Really, if you are into anime and stuff, i would say this can be included in your collection for viewing and you will not be disappointed ( personal opinion)

this ithe the opening of the anime
Daybreak Bell by L'Arc~En~Ceil

Thats it
